Knights Swap Sticks for Suits

This Friday, the Grosvenor Casino Sheffield Knights will swap their sticks and jerseys for their best evening wear, as the EOS awards evening takes place at Farm Road S+S Club (7:45 for an 8:15PM start). With the season finishing at the National Finals, it’s a time for the club to look back over the season and congratulate those who have won the awards voted on by their peers and coaches.

The awards to be given and the last winners are as follows:

Awarded by the Coaching staff:

Knights Forward of the Year – Aidan Paget

Lancers Forward of the Year – Michael Henderson

Knights Defender of the Year – Martin Bell

Lancers Defender of the Year – Dan Wright

Knights Most Improved Player – Mitchel Hopes

Lancers Most Improved Player – Adam Cookson

Knights Coach’s Player – Aidan Paget

Lancers Coach’s Player – Richard Cartwright

Club Defender of the Year – Martin Bell

Club Forward of the Year – Andy Stafford

Coach’s Player of the Year – Aidan Paget

Knights Captain’s Player of the Year – Andy Stafford

Lancers Captain’s Player of the Year – Michael Henderson

 

Awarded by the Players:

Knights Players Player of the year – Aidan Paget

Lancers Players Player of the year – Michael Henderson

Club Player of the Year – Aidan Paget

Wooden Spoon of the Year – Michael Henderson

Club person of the Year – David Grant

 

After a fantastic season all round for every player in both the Knights and Lancers squads, competition promises to be high this year with so many players being potentially up for each award, it can certainly be said that it has not been an easy job for the coaching staff.
