Knights Host Friendship Tournament

June 13, 2017

On the 29th and 30th July, a handful of players from the Grosvenor Casino Sheffield Knights will lace up their ice skates and hit the ice for the UK Charity All Star ice hockey tournament. The Knights players will be representing a mixture of 4 charities in the tournament; British Heart Foundation, Blue Cross for Pets, Breast Cancer Care, and Help for Heroes.

As a way of fundraising for this charity tournament, the Sheffield Knights will be hosting the Friendship Tournament for the second year running, which will see a number of different teams come together and battle it out on the rink. The event will take place on the 1st July 2017 at Simply Skate in Rotherham. Entry will be free, however donations would be very much appreciated and a raffle will also be run. All money raised at the event will be split between the players that are taking part in the tournament and be added to their JustGiving pages for their team’s charity.

So, for a good day of hockey and a chance to help out four fantastic charities, head down to simply skate between 10am and 5pm on 1st July. For more information, make sure you are following @SheffKnights on Twitter, and Sheffield Knights B.H.C on Facebook.
